Trainer and Assessor - Health & Safety
Steve Beckwith
Steve has worked as a health and safety trainer/assessor since 1993.
He joined the Training and Enterprise Council as a safety advisor in 1999, moving to the Learning and Skills Council in 2001 where he managed a team of 5 assessors covering the South West of England.
In 2008, Steve joined Didac, expanding considerably their expertise in Health and Safety matters.
H&S programmes delivered now include the NVQ in Health and Safety at levels 3,4 and 5.

Mark Stevens
Mark is a training and health and safety professional with great experience in the woodworking field.
Before Didac, he worked for more than 25 years for Leaderflush Shapland, rising from being an apprentice joiner, to working as the Materials/Production Planning Manager and latterly Health and Safety Manager.
Mark’s many qualifications include City & Guilds Licentiateship in construction carpentry and joinery; NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health and an ILM Certificate in first line management.
Trainer and Assessor - Machine Woodworking and Furniture
Sean Druce
Sean started his career serving an apprenticeship in wood machining and hand skills for a company in Bridgwater.
He later became responsible for building maintenance at Hinkley Point nuclear power station then worked for a kitchen fitting business.
In 2006, Sean joined a bespoke furniture manufacturer as their head machinist.
Sean joined Didac in May 2008, delivering wood machining, furniture/woodworking training on Appenticeship, Train to Gain and Commercial programmes.

Tom Hancock
Tom is a fully-qualified cabinet maker who has worked as a trainer and assessor for Didac since March 2009.
Tom holds various City and Guilds qualifications in furniture manufacture and he has taken Train to Gain courses since being with the company.
Tom works on furniture, key skills and basic machining and woodwise courses for Didac.
Industrial Training
Paul Mackley
Paul has extensive experience in the industrial training field having worked in the industry for over 20 years.
Paul is a qualified forklift instructor/tutor and has trained operators and instructors for many companies throughout the
He is a qualified NVQ assessor as well as obtaining CIEH and IOSH qualifications and can deliver training in numerous Health and Safety subjects. He brings a number of new industrial courses to Didac's portfolio.
Paul is a qualified hot air balloon pilot and in his spare time you can often see him drifting over the skies of
Trainer and Assessor - Professional Development
Mike Gill
After an apprenticeship and working in various businesses, Mike ran his own company from 1982 to 1995.
After selling the business, Mike worked delivering Training and Development NVQs.
Mike is an external verifier for City and Guilds - Learning and Development NVQ.
In 2001, Mike was awarded with the Licentiateship in training and development. He has been appointed Honorary Member of City and Guilds.
Mike delivers programmes including the Learning and Development NVQ and the Professional Trainers’ Certificate.
Trainer - Upholstery
Vicki Coyle
Vicki brings to the company, many years of upholstery experience. Vicki runs her own successful upholstery company.
Previously, Vicki has taught City & Guilds upholstery in further education. She has also been an examiner for City & Guilds.
Trainer - Polishing and Finishing
Pete Salmon
Pete took an apprenticeship as a furniture polisher in 1967 and worked for the same company for 18 years, becoming polishing shop manager. He also achieved the NEBS Certificate in Supervisory Studies.
Since 1986, he has worked in technical sales for a supplier of industrial coatings for wood, plastics and metals.
In 1997, he joined Didac as an associate assessor/trainer.
In 1996, he became chief examiner for City & Guilds in wood finishing. He achieved his Licentiateship of the City & Guilds of London in 1998.
