Mark Stevens - Furniture, Wood and Machine Woodworking Unit Manager
Mark is a training and health and safety professional with great experience in the woodworking field.
Before Didac, he worked for more than 25 years for Leaderflush Shapland, rising from being an apprentice joiner, to working as the Materials/Production Planning Manager and latterly Health and Safety Manager.
Mark’s many qualifications include City & Guilds Licentiateship in construction carpentry and joinery; NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health and an ILM Certificate in first line management.
Mark is also Woodwise Network Manager and Trainer/Assessor for Health & Safety
Paul Mackley - Industrial Training Unit Manager
Paul has extensive experience in the industrial training field having worked in the industry for over 20 years.
Prior to joining Didac in January 2010, Paul previously worked for another training company for 14 years, playing a major part in course development for a wide range of subjects. He has also written bespoke courses for major UK companies and smaller specialist organisations. During this time he gained valuable experience in many industrial subjects.
Paul is a qualified forklift instructor/tutor and has trained operators and instructors for many companies throughout the UK.
Paul is a qualified hot air balloon pilot and in his spare time you can often see him drifting over the skies of Bristol.
Paul is a trainer/assessor for all industrial training courses
Cris White - Health & Safety Unit Manager
Cris is a qualified Health and Safety trainer and assessor, he worked for Royal Mail for 16 years before moving into education and to South West College as a Course Manager and assessor in the Business department.
Cris holds the following qualifications:
City & Guilds Further Adult Education and Teaching Certificate, Assessor and Internal Verifier awards, City & Guilds Occupational Health and Safety, Advice & Guidance Level 3, Equality and diversity Level 2 , and safe guarding.
Cris is also a Flight Lieutenant in the RAF VR(T) and Commands an Air Training Corps Squadron in his spare time.
Cris brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company which will further enhance the client experience
Nina Royle - Professional Development Unit Manager
Nina brings with her a wealth of knowledge of the Work Based Learning sector having worked for different training providers and a GFE College for over 15 years.
She is qualified Assessor and Internal Verifier with IOSH qualifications and delivers a range of qualifications from Warehouse and Distribution to Management.
Responsible for a team that delivers professional training in the workplace, she is keen to develop links in to the wood industry to tailor employer needs and raise the profile of work based learning.
Mike Gill - Professional Development Lead - Learning and Development
Trainer & Assessor (Associate)
After an apprenticeship and working in various businesses, Mike ran his own company from 1982 to 1995.
After selling the business, Mike worked delivering Training and Development NVQs.
Mike is an external verifier for City and Guilds - Learning and Development NVQ.
In 2001, Mike was awarded with the Licentiateship in training and development. He has been appointed Honorary Member of City and Guilds.
Mike delivers programmes including the
- Training, Assessment, Quality Assurance Qualifications (previous A1, V1 etc)
- Level 3 Training Skills & Practice
- Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector
