
Kitchen Manufacture and Installation
Kitchen Manufacturers. You will manufacture and assembly kitchens to meet the clients requirements. This can either be one-off or small production kitchens.
Kitchen Installation. You may be required to also carry out basic installation of the units manufactured within the clients premises.
Your course will include
- creating a design drawing of the kitchen
- deciding on the quantity and type of material needed and the method of construction
- cutting, shaping and planing the materials
- assembling the components
- adding other fixed or movable parts such as brackets, hinges, handles and locks
- measuring and cutting worktops, recesses and joints
- basic installation
You may also be required to apply different types of finishes to the completed items
Qualifications
- City & Guilds NVQ (Apprenticeship Level 2, Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3)
- City & Guilds Technical Certificate (Apprenticeship Level 2, Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3)
