
Kitchen Manufacture and Installation
Kitchen Manufacturers. You will manufacture and assemble kitchens to meet the clients requirements. This can either be "one-off" or "small production" kitchens.
Kitchen Installation. You may be required to also carry out basic installation of the units manufactured within the clients premises.
Your course will include
- creating a design drawing of the kitchen
- deciding on the quantity and type of material needed and method of construction
- cutting, shaping and planing the materials
- assembling the components
- adding other fixed or movable parts such as brackets, hinges, handles and locks
- measuring and cutting worktops, recesses and joints
- basic installation
You may also be required to apply different types of finishes to completed items.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 or Level 3
Duration
- 6 to 12 months, depending upon experience and training required
