What qualifications can we help with?
NVQs
- National Vocational Qualifications are designed around the skills people use in their workplaces. There are 5 grades from 1 (basic skills) to 5 (senior management). National standards are set by employer-led organisations and progress assessed in the workplace.
Apprenticeships
- Apprentices learn on the job and progress towards NVQs, Key Skills and Technical Certificate qualifications. An advanced Apprenticeship programme exists for those progressing to higher levels of qualification. Apprenticeships typically last for two years.
Train to Gain (TtG)
- This national scheme to help businesses is run via the Learning and Skills Council and provides tailored help for individual companies. In the woodworking sector, TtG has had particular value, allowing companies to keep abreast of the latest training requirements for those operating machinery. Didac is able to offer funded training and assessment opportunities through Train to Gain.
